How to Get a Police Character Certificate in Punjab

It is often required for jobs abroad, immigration, or travel purposes. The process was complicated, but Punjab Police has made it easier through Police Khidmat Markaz (PKM), allowing applicants to apply from any center in Punjab.

Why is a Police Character Certificate Important?

A Police Character Certificate is a proof of an individual's clean criminal record. It is required for employment abroad, immigration, and obtaining visas. Many foreign organizations and governments require this document to ensure the applicant has no criminal background, making it a crucial part of background verification.

Application Process

You can get a character certificate at any Police Khidmat Markaz centre, you do not have to go back to your former district. If you live in Multan but you need a certificate from Mianwali you can get it straight away from Multan and you don't have to travel to Mianwali .

Required Documents:

• Original and Copy of CNIC or B-Form

• Original and Copy of Passport

• Affidavit

• Authority Letter  (if you are outside Pakistan)

• Photograph  (if you are an applicant for a blood relative)

If the applicant is abroad, a blood relation (father, mother, sister, etc.) can submit the form with an authority letter.

Processing Fee:

• Rs. 500, at the PKM counters

Turnaround Time:

• 3 working days after submission of application

Mode of Delivery:

• Through courier, the certificate will be delivered.

This saves time and efforts of the people and makes it quite easy for the residents of Punjab in getting their Police Character Certificates.
